Deep expertise, precision engineering, and a commitment that outlasts any single project. That is what this brand stands for — and that is what the Castel Maggiore workshop represents.

The evening brought together over 150 people: Clauger Group leadership, the full Castel Maggiore engineering and operations teams, colleagues from our French teams in Strasbourg and Brignais, and the clients and partners who have been part of this story long before the brand had a name. Remote participants from France, the Middle East, and across our international client network joined live, making the moment genuinely global from the first minute.

This was not a product launch. It was the formalisation of an identity — one that reflects more than 170 years of industrial expertise across process engineering, gas compression, CO₂ treatment, emissions control, and hydrogen purification.

The workshop as a statement.

The evening opened with guided tours of the Technofrigo Workshop floor. Walking the facility is its own kind of argument. The heritage display traces a continuous line from Gaetano Barbieri & Co. in 1850 through Technofrigo's first compressors in 1898, the Frick partnership in 1963, and the integration of Dell'Orto and Leonardo da Vinci in 1990 — two companies, both founded in 1907, each bringing distinct technical depth to what would become Industrie Technofrigo Dell'Orto S.p.A. in 1992. That lineage runs directly into the present.

The technical centrepiece of the tour was the ELYgator hydrogen purification unit: Technofrigo by Clauger's first official reference in the hydrogen market, built here in Bologna for a 200 MW Air Liquide project in the Netherlands. Seeing it on the workshop floor, at full scale, made the brand's hydrogen positioning concrete rather than aspirational.

This is not a market we are entering. This is a market we are already operating in — with engineered proof.

The official ceremony.

From 16:00, guests gathered for the official brand reveal and leadership addresses. Fabrice Marsallon, CEO of Clauger Group, opened the ceremony by placing the launch in the context of Clauger's broader ambition: building specialised, high-performance industrial expertise at a global scale, rooted in teams with real depth.

Christophe Perreard, Director of Global Activities, addressed the convergence that has made Technofrigo by Clauger possible: the integration of Clauger Group's French teams in Strasbourg and Brignais — with over 60 years of combined expertise in process fluids, CO₂, and gaseous effluents — alongside the Bologna engineering teams who have been developing these capabilities since the 19th century.

One brand. Two engineering traditions. A single shared commitment to performance.

The team introduction that followed was a deliberate act of parity. Every location was named. Every area of expertise was recognised.

Four locations, one identity. Remote participants joined a live Q&A session, with questions fielded directly by the leadership team — a format that made clear this launch was not a Bologna event with international spectators. It was a global moment, hosted in Bologna.

Thinking forward together.

The cocktail reception that followed was exactly what a brand launch should feel like. Engineers and clients side by side. French and Italian colleagues meeting in person, in many cases for the first time. Partners exploring the workshop floor after hours, next to the ELYgator, talking through what comes next.

That is, in the end, what Thinking forward together means. Not a tagline. A description of how this organisation actually works: from the earliest stages of a project design through the lifetime performance of the systems we build, our clients and our teams move forward as one.

Technofrigo by Clauger is now live — in name, in brand, and in the market.

The next chapter starts here.
